Progress Report (gantt chart)

To plan, manage and monitor the Pedestrian Congestion Study progress, Gantt Chart is adopted in study schedule making. Also, flexibility and proficiency of using Gantt Chart software serves as a learning objective in Learning Contract.

Initial schedules were drafted on Week 3 as the first chart version. Tasks were set up according to four major learning objectives listed.

The group kept good record in following and completing weekly tasks before Week 7 when Occupying Central slowed progress due to class-striking.

In Week 9 and Week 10 adjustments were made on task settings and time arrangement. This is due to a rethink of Learning Contract, which helped us undestand what to study and how smart solutions could be formed based on past studies.

Among changes, more emphasis were laid on the study of smart city through searching foreign cases. In the end, the tasks of the project were finalized and the deadlines were set. The team followed the deadlines promptly and a smooth working progress was observed until the end of the project.
